From my MIL:
A duck came down the chimney and they chased it around the house. The duck then laid an egg......I thought that was hysterical. They finally caught the duck and took it outside.
She says it happened at Brian's stepsisters house on the Eastern Shore of MD.

LOL, everyone I tell says, "seriously, it laid an egg?" Even if it isn't 100% accurate its a good story.
As told to me by your dad Jamie...the duck laid an egg, correct? I thought it was something that David could have captured for America's funniest videos.
Yes the duck laid an egg. It was in the fireplace behind the woodstove insert that we have. We heard something and had to move the woodstove which is super heavy and when we peeked back there, it was a duck and an egg. Took hours to get it out. Benjamin was a great helper. I thought it was going to be a squirrel.
How did the duck get in?
